The video is ‘Pimp my Genome!, The mainstreaming of Digital Genetic Engineering’ a Google Tech Talk by Andrew Hessel. He is a biologist, promoting synthetic and open source/DIY biology, open innovation models, and was involved in the iGEM project, besides numerous other research ideas. This was the state of biopunk in 2007. Two years is a long time in biotechnology these days, but still worth watching it.
